The Motherhood Anthology Retreat | Nashville, TN

for photographers

Here is the recap of the 2020 Motherhood Anthology Retreat in Nashville, Tennessee. I arrived home yesterday and my creative cup is so so full from the past three days. When we arrived there was a beautiful backdrop of snowfall. The farmhouse was the perfect location for a group of photographers to gather. I joined The Motherhood Anthology Membership this time last year! Six months before I even opened my studio I began to digest the monthly education materials curated by the founders Jenny Cruger, Allison Craig, and Kim Box. The Facebook group has blessed me immensely. These ladies inspire me daily because we have the same mission: to provide an incredible experience for every mama we work with. We never stop refining our craft, adapting to new technology, and finding ways to grow all while staying true to a timeless brand. Reminding ourselves time and time again of the beauty in simple motherhood. Being in community with like-hearted women is what every creative business woman needs. There is really no other way to describe it than my creative cup is overflowing. Everyone had something meaningful to offer. If you need inspiration or encouragement, I am convinced you need to find like-minded people. Creative business owners need recharged, don’t we? If you are a motherhood photographer, the support of this group is unparalleled. Please come join us! We are basically just a bunch of cheerleaders in neutral, cozy clothes 😉

Okay so enough chat. Here are some of my snaps. Enjoy!

The world is big enough for everyone to rise.

Most of our time together was spent sitting around a table asking questions and sharing our experiences

Bev brought loaves of homemade bread

for literally everyone!

We got in pods and photographed each other.

I mean are you honestly surprised?

Of course Kim Box brought samples of

gorgeous Indie albums!

Headed to our first styled shoot in the field at sunset

This sweet babe was of course overwhelmed by 12+ cameras but he really took to Allison (fake sneezing is the real deal y’all) and she was always able to grab his attention and make him joyful

Such a beautiful family to model for us

Second styled shoot was a maternity session in Jenny Cruger’s studio!

Allison & Jenny always ready to take a question and teach hands-on!

Seriously an angel of a mama who is already so in love with her baby
